Tulagi Place Mural Project

St. Mary’s County Arts Council (SMCAC), with the support of the Maryland State Arts Council, the Southern Maryland Folklife Center, and in conjunction with the St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks, is proud to announce the winning artist, Tom Rogers!

The project will commemorate Tulagi Place - a historic landmark from the time the Naval Air Station Patuxent River was built - to support the “instant city” of Lexington Park.

Help fund this historic project and support the improvement of Lexington Park!

  • Scholarship Applications

    Deadline:
    Saturday May 4, 2024 at 4 PM

    Scholarships of up to $1,000 will be awarded to support applicants as they continue their education at higher levels of The Arts.

    The SMCAC has established these awards to recognize, encourage, and support individuals who demonstrate excellence and a high level of interest in one or more categories above.
