Artwork Guidelines:
The subject interpretation is up to the artist and should include concepts of animals known to be present in St. Mary’s County.
Residents of all ages from St. Mary’s, Calvert, and Charles Counties may apply.
One entry per person.
A 30% commission will be directed to the Arts Council for any sales. Checks for sales will be mailed by October 15th, following the end of this year’s third quarter.
As this show is a fundraiser, we are asking that all pieces be available for sale.
Work may not exceed 24 inches in any direction.
Wall art must be framed with a sawtooth or wire hanger. Canvas pieces do not have to be framed but need either a sawtooth or wire hanger.
Non-wall art pieces (i.e. sculpture, jewelry, etc.) must come with their own stand and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The work will be up for the whole month of July unless purchased, at which time the customer will take their item(s).
All work must be family-friendly.
If accepted, you will receive an email with a link to make an appointment to deliver your art piece.
Accepted work must be delivered by appointment between June 7th and 21st during regular office hours.
All artwork must be picked up within 30 days after the end of the show.

Join us for the Opening Reception on First Friday, July 4th at St. Mary’s County Arts Council Gallery & Gift Shop. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Animal Rescue and Outreach Organization (AROO) in benefit of the St. Mary’s County Animal Adoption & Resource Center located in California, Maryland. This show runs for the month of July, 2025.
