Scholarships

The St. Mary’s County Arts Council provides scholarships to support high school seniors

who desire to continue with their studies of The Arts following graduation.

Scholarships for High School Seniors

St. Mary’s County Arts Council has established these awards to recognize, encourage, and support individuals who demonstrate excellence and a high level of interest in one or more artistic categories.

Scholarships of up to $1,000 per student are awarded to support applicants as they continue their education at higher levels of study at college and university levels. Dedicated art schools will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Artistic Categories:

  •  Literary Arts (authors, journalists)

  • Performing Arts (dance, musicians - instrumental and vocal, theater)

  • Visual Arts (digital artists, graphic arts & design, illustrators, multi-media, painters, photographers)

Graduating seniors must be residents of St. Mary’s County. Students from any of the St. Mary’s County public or private schools may apply. Home-schooled students are also eligible.
