The mission of St. Mary’s County Arts Council is to invest in the arts and increase the awareness of the value of the arts and how the arts can enhance the quality of our community and our individual lives.

St. Mary’s Arts Council is a sub-granting organization, receiving funding from the state via the Maryland State Arts Council, to re-grant for community events, public art projects, local school art programing, high school scholarships, and more!

St. Mary’s County Arts Council has a gallery space in the heart of Leonardtown. Please feel free to stop by to purchase and support local artists. We have established partnerships with the Leonardtown & Lexington Park Libraries to host gallery exhibitions spanning two months each. Additionally, we collaborate with the Port of Leonardtown Winery to provide a platform for both individual and group artists to showcase their work.
