2026 Cherry Blossom Festival

It was a beautiful, sunny day on March 21st, 2026, in Lexington Park! The weather was on our side as we greeted a record number of over 700 people at our tables near the North Pavilion area at Lexington Manor Passive Park.

Visitors enjoyed an afternoon of fun activities throughout the day including events hosted at our booth:

  • Origami (cranes, hats, and balloons) with Miki and Siena from Piccole Gioie Studio. Miki is originally from Japan and specializes in Japanese traditional arts and crafts.

  • Chinese Brush Painting demos and hands-on learning with Yanhui Kuang. Yanhui is from China and creates beautiful brushed ink artwork.

  • Meet & Greet with Eric Clark Jackson of Bay Fibers Studio. Eric is leading the new Re: Bloom- Public Art in Lexington Manor Passive Park project, an entire year of community art activations coming soon!

  • Sidewalk Chalk Fun - people of all ages enjoyed decorating the sidewalk with sun rays, cherry blossoms, an array of animals, and many more creative designs!

  • Plinko for Prizes! - over 500 art-themed prizes were won by both children and adults. Everyone loves Plinko!

Thank you to our many past and new friends who stopped by to see us!

We also extend a special note of appreciation to our volunteers Frank Roth, Joshua Kyte and Charlotte, Akia Dieuseul and Austyn, board members Heidi Kaselemis, Eric Clark Jackson, and Deb McClure, plus staff Susie Glauner, Executive Director, and Wednesday Davis, Outreach Coordinator.
