All Are Invited - Mural Unveiling & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on September 25!
St. Mary’s County Arts Council recently led a call for art to create a community-inspired mural through funding from Atlantic Realty Companies at the new Pax River Village Center (formerly Millison Plaza).
Located next to El Rinconcito Mexican Restaurant’s outdoor seating area, this mural beautifies an accessible and welcoming space as well as adding color and vibrancy to the Great Mills Road area.
Rosalia Torres-Weiner of Red Calaca Studio, the artist selected for this project, met with members of our community to hear their ideas for the proposed design. An online survey was also used to gather feedback.
All are invited to join the artist, community members, local businesses, and others at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 9:30 AM!

El Consejo de Artes del Condado de St. Mary's recientemente lideró una convocatoria para crear un mural de inspiración comunitaria, con fondos de Atlantic Realty Companies, en el nuevo Centro Pax River Village (antigua Millison Plaza).
Ubicado junto a la terraza del restaurante mexicano El Rinconcito, este mural embellece un espacio accesible y acogedor, además de aportar color y vitalidad a la zona de Great Mills Road.
Rosalía Torres-Weiner, de Red Calaca Studio, la artista seleccionada para este proyecto, se reunió con miembros de nuestra comunidad para escuchar sus ideas sobre el diseño propuesto. También se utilizó una encuesta en línea para recopilar comentarios.
¡Todos están invitados a unirse a la artista, miembros de la comunidad, negocios locales y otros en la ceremonia de inauguración el jueves 25 de septiembre de 2025 a las 9:30 AM!
